The Sydney Alliance is a diverse coalition of religious organisations, unions, community organisations and schools using community organising to make Sydney a better place to live and rebuild our civil society. We are a non-party political organisation.<\/p>\n

We began building the Alliance in 2007, and founded in 2011. Since then we have been building local suburban \u201cdistricts\u201d around the city \u2013 to enable local congregations, community organisations, schools, union members and religious organizations build relationships, identify local concerns and work together to solve them. We have trained over 3000 people in the practices of community organising. The Broken Bay Diocese and Sydney Archdiocese are founding members of the Alliance under Bishop Walker and Cardinal Pell.<\/p>\n

At the start of 2013, we began building a district on the North Shore.<\/p>\n

To ensure the District is reflective of the diversity on the North Shore we are making a particular effort to connect with the Catholic Parishes of the North Shore\/Northern District. We would like to invite you to attend our orientation to learn more about the Sydney Alliance.<\/i><\/p>\n
