What living conditions do you imagine when you hear the words “filthy”, “foul” and “slum”? Rubbish heaps in the third world? Actually, such living conditions are not uncommon in all areas of Sydney. Catholic Community Services has also been training other community agencies to support early intervention for those living in squalor. National Squalor Conference – Pathway through the Maze at the SMC Conference Centre, 66 Goulburn Street, Sydney on November 5-6. It will be the first conference of its kind held in Australia and will focus on the following themes:
