A decision in the NSW Supreme Court has forced the Democratic Republic of Congo, a nation of some of the poorest people on Earth), to pay $30m plus court costs, enforcing a decision made by a court in the US. The ABC program “The Law Report” 1 March, 2011, exposes how a US company that had purchased the Vulture Funds used an Australian court to achieve its goal.
